Kale Chips

Make for many.

30 minutes to prepare.

Equipment: Oven & oven tray, grease proof paper.


1x Bunch/bag of Kale wash & remove centre core (slice the leaves from either side of the core with a sharp knife. Chop the kale into manageable pieces.

1x cup of raw cashews soaked in water (over night or at least 2 hours) alternatively use soaked sesame seeds less time to soak 30 mins to an 1 hour.

2x tbsp of Engevita flakes (can buy online or from some supermarkets & most health food shops)


Pre heated oven at temp 350 F / 180 c / 160 Fan

1. Dressing: Remove nuts or seeds from the water & blend the with engevita flakes into a paste.

2. Prepare the Kale leaves

3. In a large mixing bowl place the kale leaves & mix in the paste mix until leaves are covered.

4. Lay out on a baking tray & put into the oven for 10 mins or less but until crisp. the kale chips will burn easily it is best to watch over while baking in the oven.

5. Remove fromthe oven and serve.
